    FAYETTE CO., Tenn. (WMC) - In an update to a story first reported Monday involving a school bus in Fayette County, Tennessee Highway Patrol now says the driver of the school bus did not have a license. THP says a car rear-ended the bus, which was stopped to allow students to board. Officials told Action News 5 that all of the students and the bus driver are safe, but crews had to extricate the injured driver from the other vehicle.

    HORN LAKE, Miss. (WMC) - A gymnastics facility in North Mississippi at the center of a federal lawsuit has filed for bankruptcy. Intrepid Gymnastics in Horn Lake filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The gym came under fire last year after a lawsuit was filed by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.     SOUTHAVEN, Miss. (WMC) - A man has been sentenced to 55 years in prison for his role in a deadly shooting in Southaven. Mario Kirkwood pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed robbery. His conviction stems from the shooting that occurred in 2023 at the Luxe Apartments. Keon Kirk Jr. was killed in the shooting. DeSoto County District Attorney Mathew Barton called the incident a setup. “His goal was just to rob somebody,” Barton said. Two others were also charged in this shooting.

    CLARKSDALE, Miss. (WMC) - A Mississippi judge has ordered a newspaper to remove an editorial that criticized city officials. The judge issued the restraining order against the Clarksdale Press Register on Tuesday after city officials sued. The action sparked widespread complaints from press freedom advocates. The February 8 editorial at the center of the suit criticized the city for not sending a notice about a city council meeting being held to discuss taxes.
