It’s time to unwrap Rule 7(6) of the Tribunal Procedure (First-tier Tribunal) (Property Chamber) Rules 2013 (‘the Tribunal Rules’): the Upper Tribunal (‘UT’) has held in Wyldecrest Parks Management Ltd [2024] UKUT 355 (LC) that the First-tier Tribunal (‘FTT’) is not entitled under Rule 7(6) to require one party to serve the Tribunal’s directions on another, but must do so itself.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Get to work in the harvest, Bart Barber, president of the Southern Baptist Convention, challenged the 301 graduates of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Texas Baptist College during spring commencement held Friday, May 3, on the Fort Worth campus. The spring 2024 graduating class included students representing 27 states of the United States and 22 countries. Seventy-seven of the 301 certificates and diplomas awarded were for non-English degrees and certificates.

Tony Sheffield has been leading First Baptist Church in Maypearl for more than a quarter century. After coaching high school basketball for 12 years in Wichita, Kan., he surrendered to the ministry and came to Fort Worth to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1993. During seminary, Tony served as a youth pastor in Fort Worth before accepting the position at FBC Maypearl in 1996. He also serves on the executive board of the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention.

Nine-year-old Destiny, wide-eyed and smiling broadly, surveyed the freshly repainted sanctuary of Lake June Baptist Church as she and her mother, Yvonne, arrived at the church to see what the Lord had done. Newly installed blue carpet covered the floors, while comfortable, upholstered chairs replaced 50-year-old rickety wooden pews. Bright can lights, rather than aging fluorescent fixtures, illuminated the space.

I’m not what you would consider a man of the outdoors, but I did my fair share of fishing during my teen years. A friend of mine growing up owned a bass boat, and we would stay out on the water for countless hours tossing plastic worms under lighted docks and running crank baits through a forest of submerged tree limbs trying to catch a lake record. Though it may seem like a straightforward endeavor, fishing requires skill.

FORT WORTH, Texas — Encouraging the Southwestern Seminary community and attendees of the Awakening National Prayer Conference held on the Fort Worth campus to “pray like it matters,” Steve Gaines, senior pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, Tennessee, opened the first session of the conference during the seminary’s regularly scheduled chapel service on Wednesday, April 18. The conference was held in partnership with the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention.
