CADDO PARISH, La. (KSLA/Gray News) - A Louisiana high school teacher and mother is dead after authorities say her 19-year-old son stabbed her multiple times in her sleep. Deputies with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at 2:11 p.m. Friday afternoon to a home in Shreveport after an individual called 911 and reported, “My brother killed my mother!” Officials say 19-year-old Conner Lyons was sitting on the rear steps of the house when deputies arrived.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - One person is dead after a disturbance was reported Friday afternoon. At 2:11 p.m., deputies with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Double A Drive. According to authorities, someone killed their mother. The individual was waiting on the porch for law enforcement to turn himself in. Deputies found a dead woman in the home. The suspect is in custody. Sixteen CPSO units are currently at the scene. This incident is under investigation.
