SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Louisiana Supreme Court put the execution warrants of two Caddo Parish death row inmates on hold Friday (April 11). The Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office filed a motion on March 24 seeking the issuance of a death warrant for Darrell Draughn. A motion in Marcus Reed’s case was filed two days later on March 26, according to court records. Draughn was set to be executed on May 28, and Reed’s execution date was set for June 4.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A Shreveport woman will sadly be putting to rest her mother, grandmother and two daughters following a deadly house fire. On Sunday, Apil 6, a blaze was reported at 6:38 a.m. in the 2400 block of Kemp Lane. Eureka Garner, 56, Mildred Carter, 84 and Ne-Vaeh Garner, 5, were pronounced deceased at local hospitals. Tayona Garner, 7, was also taken to the hospital. She succumbed to her injuries on April 11 after being in critical condition.

MINDEN, La. (KSLA) - State Fire Marshal deputies (SFM) have arrested a Vinton, Louisiana man for allegedly setting fire to a Minden business last month. Jordan Tomlinson, 36, was booked by with one count each of aggravated arson, simple arson and simple burglary for setting fire to Pro-Tint. Webster Parish Sheriff’s deputies and Webster Parish Fire District 4 responded just before 7 a.m. on March 27 to a reported fire at 132 Dewberry Lane.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Shreveport Police Department (SPD) is searching for Mario Franklin in connection with a stabbing that occurred on March 31 in the 400 block of Egan Street. Officers responded to the scene and located a female victim suffering from a stab wound to the chest. The injury resulted in a punctured lung. Despite her critical condition, the victim was able to provide detectives with valuable information before being sedated for emergency surgery.
