PORTERFIELD (WLUK) -- An 18-year-old woman died in a Marinette County crash. It happened just before 6 p.m. Wednesday on State Highway 180, south of Nettleton Road in the town of Porterfield. Deputies say a vehicle, driven by a 39-year-old Marinette man, was going south on State Highway 180 when he went over the centerline on a curve and collided with a northbound vehicle. The driver of the northbound vehicle, Alise C. LaPierre, 18, of Marinette, died in the crash.

(WLUK) -- A Milwaukee man is accused of sexually assaulting two kids, trafficking one of them and keeping her chained up in his basement. Prosecutors say David Boyd, 64, repeatedly sexually assaulted two girls – 5 and 8 years old – for years. One of the victims was chained up in the basement, denied food and trafficked.

(WLUK) -- Two national online suppliers of aquatic animals have been convicted for ignoring warnings from the Wisconsin DNR and repeatedly shipping illegal invasive species to schools, residents and businesses throughout the state. In March and April 2025, the two companies based in North Carolina and Indiana, respectively, were each convicted of 20 citations with penalties related to the shipment of illegal invasive species to customers in eight Wisconsin counties.

Main Street in Coleman was temporarily closed to traffic Wednesday morning while crews were on scene. Police chief Adam Bieber tells FOX 11 the library sustained smoke damage.
