A Beacon to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day in King’s Stanley has been built by an engineering company in Stonehouse. King’s Stanley Parish Council contacted Ryeford Engineering who agreed to manufacture and donate the beacon for tonight’s ceremony. Ryeford Engineering is run by Nick Rieger Senior and his son Nick Jr.“We were approached by Gareth Parker at the King’s Stanley Parish Council to help make and donate a beacon for VE Day,” Nick Jr told Stroud Times.
