Mike Watters-Imagn Images Happy Friday, friends! The Rays were playing host to the Tigers, the unexpected AL win leaders (current MLB win leaders, actually, at 48). The Tigers were leaning on Jack Flaherty as their starter, while the Rays were turning to Shane Baz. Though rain delayed the start of the game (something we never had to say in the past), things got underway about an hour late.

Mike Watters-Imagn Images After a long night and a doubleheader against the Pirates, the Tigers made their way to Florida to take on the displaced Tampa Bay Rays. Jack Flaherty was on the mound for the Tigers, while Shane Baz was up for the Rays. The rain followed the Tigers to Florida and the game started about an hour late, but things finally did get underway in Tampa. In the top of the first Gleyber Torres took a one-out walk. Then, with two outs, Riley Greene singled.

Ryan Garza / USA TODAY NETWORK It’s Friday! The Tigers are headed to Tampa to take on the Rays at their temporary home. Of course, it would have been nice if they didn’t have to play a 10-inning delayed game late into Thursday evening... Anyway, jumping into today’s news, we have a bit of a situation at the second Tigers game, a breakdown of Dillon Dingler throwing players out, and a Tigers prospect who might save a rare pitch.

Photo by Mike Carlson/MLB Photos via Getty Images Happy Friday, everyone! In today’s news breakdown we have a little bit of everything. The Dodgers’ owner has spent an awful lot of money on another sports franchise. The Rays might be selling, but those two topics are unrelated. The A’s don’t have enough money. A Pirates player almost came to blows with a fan. And Pope Leo is loving all the White Sox chants. Let’s get into today’s news and enjoy our last day of the work week.

Rick Osentoski-Imagn Images Well, after a slight rain delay on the rain delay, the Tigers/Pirates doubleheader got underway about forty minutes late on Thursday afternoon. Tarik Skubal was on the mound for the Tigers, and Andrew Heaney getting the nod for the Pirates. The first started a little rough for Skubal. Andrew McCutchen got a one-out single, then Joey Bart took a walk. Alexander Canario walked right behind him to load the bases, which wasn’t an ideal start to the inning.

Hell yeah AUSL games are included with MLB TV! Now I just need to pick a team... I'm open to pitches, pun intended.

And while I'm at it, dear @AWCanada if you're going to have a form on your website for complaints you could at least answer those emails. Last time I went to your drive thru I received a Teen Burger with NO MEAT ON IT and I am ANNOYED ABOUT IT.
