    CLAY CITY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Wednesday evening was the kickoff event for the Clay City Fair. The annual Clay City Fair runs until June 29, at Goshorn Park. Activities will include a carnival, truck and tractor pulls, 4-H project exhibits, livestock shows, musical entertainment, and food vendors. There will also be a fireworks show on Saturday June 28, at 10 p.m.Vice President of the Fair Board Lynn Schopmeyer said the fair is a long standing tradition for the community.

    TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Tuesday evening, dozens of volunteers cleaned and tagged thousands of rubber ducks for Terre Haute Catholic Charities’ eighth annual Rubber Duck Regatta. 15,000 ducks were prepared for the event, which is scheduled for Friday, July 4 at Fairbanks Park. Thousands of yellow rubber ducks will take their chance at being the lucky duck, with the winner receiving $10,000 and the chance at $1,000,000.

    TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Friday evening, the Goodwill Excel Center of West Central Indiana held their first graduation ceremony since opening in August of 2024. The excel center is a tuition-free adult high school that offers people the chance to get back in the classroom and earn their high school diploma. The event celebrated 15 graduates, including working adults, parents, and students.

    SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Sullivan County Community Hospital Fitness Center hosted a special event for kids and their families. Family Fit Friday took place this evening outside of the fitness center. The event featured face painting, inflatables, shaved ice, a color run, and much more. Community partners also participated in this event, with different activities for the kids. Fitness Center Director Drew Hogue said the event is a great way to remind kids of the importance of exercise.

    TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Thursday evening, the 12 Points Public Market hosted a fundraising event to help a local organization. Uncork the Market is a wine tasting event benefiting Terre Haute’s YMCA. Proceeds from Thursday night’s event will help with scholarships for kids to participate in the YMCA’s programs. it will also help with the 2025 renovation project. Those who attended got to embark on a wine tasting journey with a professional instructor, and enjoy some tasty appetizers.
