BRECKENRIDGE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – In recent years, more families are switching from traditional housing to living in an RV. But in Breckenridge, this change is causing some challenges. City Manager Cynthia Northrop explained that there has been an increase in people living in recreational vehicles in residential areas. While living in an RV in a residential area was never allowed in the first place, Northrop noted that the city is making changes to clarify the guidelines.

Pioneer Pathways Learning Center recently sent a letter to parents informing them about the decision to close. Pioneer Drive Baptist Church Deacon Sparky Dean explained that the decision was hard to make. “This has been an ongoing discussion for years. Each year, we look at all of our programs and evaluate them to see how they’re doing. This is a decision that is very hard.

BROWNWOOD, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) — The City of Brownwood is moving forward with a plan that has been a long time in the making. For more than a year, officials in Brownwood have been working to revitalize the downtown area, presenting a master plan in February 2024. Fast-forward to May 2025, and now the Brownwood city council has approved the 18-million-dollar budget for the project, giving a green light for Phase 1 of the revitalization project.
