1. Introduction Dystonia is a movement disorder characterized by sustained or intermittent muscle contractions that result in abnormal movements and/or posture (Balint and Bhatia, 2014). Treatment is challenging because of dystonia’s highly complex etiology and pathogenesis (Batla et al., 2012; Balint et al., 2018; Albanese et al., 2019).
