Class 2A No. 5 Lewis Central completed their city week 2-0 as they shut out Abraham Lincoln on Friday evening at Titan Stadium in a 3-0 win over the Lynx. “This is a rivalry, and this is what people enjoy the game for,” Lewis Central coach Jesse Smith said. “Credit to AL, they did a good job of keeping us out of those scoring opportunities and pressuring us and whatnot. Abraham Lincoln’s offense ran wild as Irving Cruz and Jonathan Amador both scored hat tricks to lead the offense and the Lynx to an 8-0 win over Sioux City West on Tuesday evening at Gale Wickersham Stadium. “Really satisfied with this win,” Abraham Lincoln coach Adam Sanchez said. “The boys played to their strengths today and we were knocking the ball around through some good patterns.
