DETROIT LAKES, MINN. (Valley News Live) - With the warmer temperatures becoming more common, people are starting to spend more time out on their favorite watercrafts. However, the installation process of boat docks and lifts can become more difficult as people age. Tamarac Dock & Lift located in Detroit Lakes utilizes a boat forklift and a crew of roughly four to six members to install docks for people who may need assistance.

WEST FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - Chutes and Boots Pro Bull Riding is returning for its 5th year this weekend at Essentia Health Plaza at the Lights in West Fargo. The event will be on Friday May 30th, and Saturday May 31st. Doors open at 6 P.M. with the official start of the event at 7P.M. that will go until 10 P.M.The event will consist of 40 different bull riders saddling up on various bulls.

Attendees can expect road closures that will impact the area around Concordia College. Saturday’s full marathon will run through portions of Moorhead. The following will be considered no parking, tow-away zones:7 Ave S between 5 St S and 8 St S12 Ave S between River Dr S and 8 St S5 St S Between 7 Ave S and 12 Ave S.
Search continues for missing Lac Du Flambeau woman who went missing March 17

LAC DU FLAMBEAU, Wis. (WJFW) - Melissa Beson of Lac Du Flambeau, has been missing since March 17, 2025. The ongoing efforts have continued since the report of her disappearance. Lac Du Flambeau Police Department Officers and assisting agencies have conducted grid searches on foot, have deployed high-tech drones, airplanes, and have searched using specially trained canines. To date, over 1,300 acres in the area she went missing and other points of interest have been searched.

PRICE COUNTY, Wis. (WJFW) — The Price and Taylor County Sheriff's offices are continuing the search for a missing Price County man. Jesse Yanske is described as a 32-year-old man approximately 6 feet, 3 inches tall and 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Yanske was last seen on Thursday April 17, in the Westboro area of Taylor County wearing a black zip up hoodie, black pant and black and white shoes.

(WJFW) - With it being Easter weekend many communities throughout the Northwoods are celebrating, and downtown Tomahawk saw many people traveling throughout main street to find different Easter treats. Hundreds of kids and parents wandered downtown Tomahawk on Saturday April 19, looking for different Easter goodies ahead of the official day on Sunday. Festivities started in late March with a kickoff Easter scavenger hunt and continued throughout Saturday.

Local sheriff’s offices are reminding riders about taking the necessary safety precautions to avoid accidents. “The biggest thing is making sure you’re safe before you go out on the road,” said Matthew Giebudowski, a Deputy Sheriff at the Vilas County Sheriff's Office.
One dead after one vehicle crash in Portage County

ALMOND, Wis. (WJFW) - At approximately 2:52 p.m. Wednesday April 16, the Portage County Communication Center received a report of a one vehicle crash with injuries on county highway w west of county highway bb in the town of Almond. Initial investigation revealed a sedan traveling eastbound on county highway w that crossed the center line entered the north ditch and struck a tree. The 77-year-old male operator from almond and lone occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.
15-year-old person of interest found deceased in Price County following Taylor County deaths

PRICE COUNTY, Wis. (WJFW) - Police have located a person of interest following the deaths of two individuals found at a home in Taylor County Wednesday night. According to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office news release, at approximately 12:40 p.m. Saturday April 12, 15-year-old Kadyn Hadden was found deceased on private property in Price County located in the reported silver 2012 chevy impala that he was last seen in.
