Former Georgia Insurance Commissioner, John Oxendine was sentenced to more than three and a half years in prison for conspiracy to commit healthcare fraud in connection with unnecessary lab testing, the U.S. Attorney's Office said. Oxendine, 62 and now living in Port St. Joe, Fla., was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Steve C. Jones to three years, six months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release.

Gwinnett County police have arrested a Hoschton man who they said vandalized multiple churches in the Buford area, causing thousands of dollars of damage.
