The title of the article appears to be unconventional for various reasons but in the present times people are so busy in making themselves look professionally or materialistically shiny that no one wants to write or read about emotions or the secret battles that we all struggle with, but only few have the courage to address them. Not acknowledging the adversaries of mind or heart does not absolve us of the torments that we might be holding within.

Chandigarh: The Punjab government has directed all education boards and schools in the state to ensure that Punjabi is taught as a mandatory subject to students. A notification in this regard has been issued. Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said if a student in Chandigarh is not taught Punjabi, his/her Class 10 certificate will be considered null and void in Punjab. A law in the state will mandate that no student in Class 10 will be declared passed without clearing Punjabi.

Over 200 individuals, who came in contact with the affected families of the 17 people who died due to the mysterious illness in Rajouri, have been quarantined as a precautionary measure, an official said on Thursday. Four people, including three sisters, have been shifted to hospitals, with three airlifted to a hospital in Jammu.

Three new cases of a ‘mysterious illness’ have emerged in the Badhaal area of Rajouri district, raising further concerns after 17 unexplained deaths were reported in the village over the past 50 days. An official stated that on Tuesday, a 25-year-old youth, Aijaz Ahmad, exhibited symptoms of the illness. He was initially treated at GMC Jammu before being shifted to PGI Chandigarh for advanced medical care.
