    Patience Jonathan, former first lady, has bagged a doctor of philosophy degree (PhD) at the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. A statement by Chris Okeke, media adviser to the former first lady, said she was among the graduating students at the 43rd convocation ceremony of the university, which took place on Saturday. Okeke said Patience dedicated her accomplishments to Nigerian women and noted that no time is too late to achieve one’s academic dream.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), nearly 10 million people died of cancer in 2020. Scientists have developed medical treatments like chemotherapy to treat the deadly disease in its different forms. Other scientists are currently working on other methods to treat cancer and improve the lives of patients.
