Last Wednesday, Femi Gbajabiamila, chief of staff (CoS) to President Bola Tinubu, inaugurated the committee at the State House, Abuja. The committee is expected to submit its interim report to the president within three weeks.

Umar Bago, governor of Niger, has ordered security operatives to arrest persons with dreadlocks in Minna, the state capital. Speaking at a stakeholders’ security meeting held at the government house on Tuesday, Bago said security operatives should cut the dreadlocks of such arrested residents and impose fines on them. The meeting was attended by security agencies and traditional rulers. The Niger governor said his administration has zero tolerance for rascality.

A fire outbreak has destroyed sensitive documents at the Ilesa high court 2 building in Osun state. The building was said to have been set ablaze by suspected arsonists on Sunday evening. Besides the courtroom, the structure serves as offices for some judges and judicial workers. By the time firefighters arrived the scene, the facility had been gutted.
