Last Wednesday, Femi Gbajabiamila, chief of staff (CoS) to President Bola Tinubu, inaugurated the committee at the State House, Abuja. The committee is expected to submit its interim report to the president within three weeks.

Umar Bago, governor of Niger, has ordered security operatives to arrest persons with dreadlocks in Minna, the state capital. Speaking at a stakeholders’ security meeting held at the government house on Tuesday, Bago said security operatives should cut the dreadlocks of such arrested residents and impose fines on them. The meeting was attended by security agencies and traditional rulers. The Niger governor said his administration has zero tolerance for rascality.

Victor Osimhen scored the opener in Galatasaray’s 5-1 thrashing of Konyaspor to qualify for the final of the Turkish Cup. The 26-year-old opened the scoring in a goal-fest semi-final held at the Torku Arena on Tuesday. Galatasaray qualified for the final four after defeating arch-rivals Fenerbahce 2-1 in the quarter-final. Osimhen scored a brace in the feisty match, which had four red cards. The semi-final was a complete cruise for the Yellow-Reds with two goals in the first half.
