Like 2022’s Barbarian (which, as featured in the marketing, this movie shares a producer in Roy Lee), Strange Darling is a thriller that’s best going in knowing nearly nothing at all. Ideally, if I could, the review would simply be the sentence “Go see it.” It’s a cat-and-mouse thriller where you’re never exactly certain which one is which.

The best PG-13 horror movies deliver terrifying scares and monsters without relying on excessive violence or sexual content. Skillful direction and great acting create genuinely scary scenes that stimulate the viewer’s imagination. PG-13 horror movies can be well-known classics and successful franchises without needing to be rated R. The best PG-13 horror movies prove that excessive violence, gore, or sexual content aren’t necessary to create a terrifying film.

With the release of #ImaginaryFilm this week, it seemed like a good time to look back at some of my favourite films from #Blumhouse.
