The command’s Spokesman, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday in Enugu, said the police also recovered firearms and gadgets used by the syndicate for their operations.

By BARBARA KALU, Awka –Gunmen have attacked a police checkpoint at Ajali, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State. The Police Public Relations Officer for the Anambra State Police Command, Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed this in a statement on Friday. Ikenga, a Superintendent of Police, said two security operatives sustained gunshot injuries in a gun duel and were receiving medical treatment. He identified the victims as police personnel and a member of the Anambra State Vigilante Group.

By BARBARA KALU, Awka –Anambra State Police Command has rescued two female kidnapped victims and arrested four suspects in connection with the incident in Idemili South Local Government Area of the state. The command’s spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who disclosed this in a statement in Awka on Wednesday, said that the rescue operation and arrest was carried out by police operatives attached to Oba Police Divisional Headquarters in Idemili at 11:54am on Tuesday.
