    A former pupil at a Cumbrian school which closed amid abuse allegations has told ITV News he believes the school’s regulator Ofsted should have acted to protect the children “years earlier”. Harvey Benson was a Wings School student between 2019 and 2020, and claims he experienced, and witnessed, abuse and neglect. Wings School, near Kendal, Cumbria, closed in July 2024. It was a school and residential facility for children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
