ITV News reporter Barnaby Papadopulos spoke to William Trotter's children about the death of their father - and the care failings they allege contributed to it. William 'Bill' Trotter was a successful businessman and a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He died in July last year, and nine months on, is yet to be buried. His family believe his body could be needed as they investigate the treatment he received prior to his death.

A former pupil at a Cumbrian school which closed amid abuse allegations has told ITV News he believes the school’s regulator Ofsted should have acted to protect the children “years earlier”. Harvey Benson was a Wings School student between 2019 and 2020, and claims he experienced, and witnessed, abuse and neglect. Wings School, near Kendal, Cumbria, closed in July 2024. It was a school and residential facility for children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
