The trees to be felled on the A41 Whitchurch Road in Chester. (Image: Google.) MORE than 30 trees will be cut down along the A41 near Chester after planning permission was granted by Cheshire West. The decision to fell the 31 ‘self-set’ trees along the major Whitchurch Road was taken last week by planners at Cheshire West and Chester Council’s planning officers. Plans were submitted to the council by Treehuggers, a company based in Harthill, in February this year.

After more than 10 days of glorious sunshine, heavy rain has been forecast by the Met Office for Tuesday and Wednesday, April 15-16. A yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for the two days after clouds rolled into the UK over the weekend.
