Mt. Washington — The price for reopening the Southwest Museum of the American Indian is only going to get higher. But at least the building can get used a little. The former museum has now been fixed up enough for the occasional arts, cultural, and community events, according to a statement from the Autry Museum of the American West, which owns the facility.

Eagle Rock — An effort to reverse approval of a 45-foot Verizon cell tower on Colorado Boulevard failed to win the approval of a City Council committee last week, with city staff members warning that a reversal would violate federal law and bring a lawsuit. The tower, which will be disguised as a tree, was approved by the City Planning Department last year without a public hearing—an omission caused by city errors.
