The TCU Horned Frogs will open the 2026 football season in a Week Zero matchup against the University of North Carolina Tar Heels in Dublin, Ireland. The two teams will meet in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic on August 29, 2026 at Aviva Stadium. The announcement was made on Tuesday morning, though rumors of the news leaked out the day prior. The two teams will meet on September 1, 2025 in Chapel Hill in Week One.
Baseball Poll Watching Week 11: TCU Remains Ranked in Three Polls

The TCU Horned Frogs (29-12, 12-6 Big 12) have fluctuated in and out of the polls all season. Last week, after a sweep of Kansas, they were ranked in all five polls, including one as high as No. 15. Last week, TCU went 1-3, including an extra-inning loss to a good DBU team and losing to UCF, their first conference series since the first week of conference play in March. This week, though, the Horned Frogs are ranked No. 23 in two of the polls, and are receiving votes in three others.

They lost a heartbreaker on Saturday afternoon to UCF in the Big 12 Championship semifinal dual in Waco. The Knights came from behind to win 4-3. The Horned Frogs won the doubles point and then won two singles matches in straight sets to take a 3-0 lead.

Final. 0The No. 2 TCU Horned Frogs (22-2, 8-0 Big 12) began postseason play on Friday night with a 4-0 sweep over Oklahoma State in the quarterfinal round of the Big 12 Men's Tennis Championship being held in Waco. For the Frogs, Friday night's victory marked the beginning of a month-long quest to defend their national championship, which they earned last year. Head coach David Roditi's 300th career head coaching win marked the occasion.

As the second half of conference play starts, it's time to start dreaming of postseason baseball. Regionals will be here in less than two months. Sixty four teams will begin postseaon play with a hope of making it to Omaha. The Horned Frogs (28-10, 11-4 Big 12), who failed to make the tournament last year, are currently just behind West Virginia in the Big 12 standings. If the season were to end today, they are poised to not only make it back into the tournament but possibly also host a regional.

Kansas State and then Kansas were the previous teams to hold the top spot. Last week's top team, Kansas, dropped four spots after being swept last weekend by TCU.

Final. 0. 460. 4/13 MTen BU. 4The No. 2 TCU Horned Frogs (21-2, 8-0 Big 12) easily took care of then-No. 13 Baylor (21-9, 6-2 Big 12) on Sunday afternoon with a 4-0 sweep on the purple courts at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth. The win gave the Horned Frogs the outright Big 12 regular season championship. It marks the 6th regular season Big 12 title for TCU (2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2025) and its 9th overall conference title since joining the league in 2012.

The TCU Horned Frogs (28-9, 11-4 Big 12) began the season ranked in most polls but quickly fell out of them after three consecutive losing weekends. Last week, they moved back into one of the weekly polls and received votes in three others. This week, after sweeping the Kansas Jayhawks, a team that was ranked No. 22 last week, TCU has moved back into all five of the polls. TCU is ranked as high as No. 15 (Baseball America) and as low as No. 25 (D1 Baseball).

In our second week of Big 12 Baseball Power Rankings, we saw lots of movement. Last week's top team, Kansas State, dropped five spots after being swept by last week's last place team, Oklahoma State. That series also moved the Pokes up four spots. So, this week, we have both a new No. 1 (Kansas) and a new No. 14 (Utah).

When the baseball season began in February, the TCU Horned Frogs (25-8, 8-4 Big 12) were ranked in most of the preseason polls. After sweeping San Diego in a four-game series to begin the season, the Frogs remained in the polls. After losing three consecutive weekends, TCU was an afterthought in all of the polls. Since then, the Frogs have won three straight Big 12 series, including a sweep over BYU last weekend.
