Sports Illustrated
Sports Illustrated (SI) is a well-known American sports magazine that made its debut in August 1954. Founded by Stuart Scheftel, it became the first magazine to exceed a circulation of one million and win the National Magazine Award for General Excellence on two occasions. SI is particularly recognized for its annual swimsuit edition, which has been released since 1964 and has led to various related media and products. Until 2018, Sports Illustrated was owned by Time Inc., but it was sold to Authentic Brands Group (ABG) when Time Inc. was acquired by Meredith Corporation. Following this, The Arena Group (previously known as theMaven, Inc.) received a 10-year license to manage the editorial side of Sports Illustrated, while ABG retains the rights to use the brand for other non-editorial purposes and products.

A lot of football players enter the game dreaming of winding up in Canton. Immortalized as a Hall of Famer in that Ohio city. Dressed up in a mustard-colored jacket. Then there's 6-foot-5, 260-pound offensive tackle Jamarios Canton, who's letting everyone find their way to him. This young Texan is one of the. bright young faces -- with a big body -- increasingly showing up on the recruiting circuit. On Thursday, the University of Washington's Michael Switzer made him a scholarship offer.

Middle of the pack. That's where the University of Washington's Jedd Fisch is pegged -- specifically 10th -- in the latest Big Ten head-coaching ranking, as compiled by CBS Sports. Too high or too low? One argument is he hasn't done anything yet when looking at his debut 6-7 record with the Huskies in 2024.

Nittany Lions coach James Franklin confirmed the injury Thursday, following a report by 247Sports. Granville, a redshirt freshman defensive end, sustained the injury at home in Texas during the players' post-semester break, Franklin said.

CINCINNATI – The hardest stat to dig up for the series of Cincinnati Bengals Ring of Honor finalists might be the most impressive. Stats are hard to find for offensive linemen, especially those who played in the 1970s and 1980s. But Dave Lapham is so much more than a former offensive lineman. Lapham joined the Bengals as a third-round pick in 1974, and he’s still working with the team today as the radio analyst, a job he’s held since 1986.

Coming out of an OTAs practice earlier this week, a minor, entirely media-made quarterback controversey came out of one bad session from the Seattle Sehawks' new starter, Sam Darnold. The headline was that Darnold had thrown two interceptions in the red zone on three passes, which sounds pretty bad without any context. Nevertheless, head coach Mike Macdonald found himself answering "crazy" questions about what it would take for rookie Jalen Milroe to replace Darnold as Seattle's QB1.
