VERMILLION, S.D. | There was a bit of orange and black scattered among the sea of red gathered for Wednesday’s Summit League men’s basketball game at the DakotaDome. The Western Illinois Leathernecks paid a visit to the South Dakota Coyotes and the Western Illinois starting lineup included former Sioux City East standout J.C. Fuller, a 6-foot-4 senior guard. Therefore, a number of Black Raider supporters were on hand to watch Fuller play here for the final time.

BANCROFT, Neb. | “Rez Ball” blew through town here Tuesday and left another defenseless opponent in its wake. Yes, the Winnebago High School boys basketball team is everything as advertised. The high-flying Indians zipped past Bancroft-Rosalie 80-47, running their winning streak to 39 games dating back to last December. Winnebago (19-0) won the Class C1 state championship last season and now has its sights set on the C2 crown.
