Hi paid pals,When I got serious about my newsletter at the beginning of last year, I had a monthly round up for paid subscribers. But I sunsetted it after a while because it felt at once too expansive—too many media recs, too many shopping links—but also not particularly fresh, since by the end of the month I’d already talked about many of those things on Instagram or the podcast. I’ve been wanting to find a new, better way to bring back a monthly recap, so that’s what we’re trying today.

I read a book last month with strong Sex and the City energy. (In case you’re wondering, the book was Sunny Side Upby Katie Sturino and it comes out June 24—I highly suggest pre-ordering it.) The reading experience left me with a pang of nostalgia for the city I live in.
