Even when I leave it for the weekend, I don’t usually leave it until Sunday evening. “I’ll write it Saturday afternoon,” I told myself as the last hours of the formal work week waned. But then I left the house to play pickleball at 10:45 on Saturday morning and didn’t return until ELEVEN PM, drunk and lightly sunburned.

Hello,Like every book lover, I’ve long dreamt of having a wall of built-in bookshelves—maybe even a whole library room someday. In my current apartment, I got to make that first part a reality, and I thought it would be fun to take a tour of said shelves (and all the other less glam spots where I stash books in my apartment). Hi paid pals,When I got serious about my newsletter at the beginning of last year, I had a monthly round up for paid subscribers. But I sunsetted it after a while because it felt at once too expansive—too many media recs, too many shopping links—but also not particularly fresh, since by the end of the month I’d already talked about many of those things on Instagram or the podcast. I’ve been wanting to find a new, better way to bring back a monthly recap, so that’s what we’re trying today.
