    Even if you are not a student of history, you know that there are moments and periods of time, whether they are good or bad, that stand out like no other and make lasting impacts on our nation. Moments like a man landing on the moon for the first time, the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, and the 9/11 terror attacks are moments that changed the country, along with periods like The Great Depression, World War II, and the Civil Rights movement, all come to mind.

    Republicans have been engaged in an abundance of schadenfreude since the November presidential election, watching the Democrat party in freefall. They have steadfastly refused to do any sort of reflection or looking within to figure out why they lost so badly, beyond the fact that they had a terrible candidate. There have been a few in the party who have tried to tried to broach the subject, only to get slapped back by the party elite.

    Most Americans don't care who you are or what you look like; they care whether or not you can do the job. Their first questions are, do you know what you're doing? Are you competent? Not really too much to ask. Since President Donald Trump was elected, he has made it a top priority to rid America of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). There have been great strides made in some areas.
