The annual Columbus Baseball Invitational, hosted by Columbus Torah Academy from May 18 to May 20 at the Lou Berliner Sports Park, saw a repeat win from the SAR High School Sting from the Bronx, N.Y., in a championship game against the YULA Panthers of Los Angeles. According to tournament director Lisa Kaufman, the championship game was a “nail biter,” with SAR taking to the baseball diamond down 1-0. The team took a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning, won the Bob Lane trophy with a final score of 2-1.

Metsi’s, a new Italian restaurant, held its grand opening on June 6. Located at 36 E.
