Since August 9, 2018, we deliver the newspaper directly to homes across the Columbus area every Thursday. Our mission aligns with that of our parent organization, the Cleveland Jewish Publication Company, and the Cleveland Jewish News, as we aim to provide valuable services to the Jewish community in Central Ohio.

    The annual Columbus Baseball Invitational, hosted by Columbus Torah Academy from May 18 to May 20 at the Lou Berliner Sports Park, saw a repeat win from the SAR High School Sting from the Bronx, N.Y., in a championship game against the YULA Panthers of Los Angeles. According to tournament director Lisa Kaufman, the championship game was a “nail biter,” with SAR taking to the baseball diamond down 1-0. The team took a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning, won the Bob Lane trophy with a final score of 2-1.

    Father’s Day is a yearly reminder of my bond with my father and the bond I have with our kids. It should come as no surprise that sports is a driving force in our family’s life since my first day on this planet. On game days, my father worked for the Browns as an electrician at the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium. He ran a tiny scoreboard located behind home plate. The board was fastened to a walkway ramp that heavy hitters used to get to stadium suites or between the upper and lower decks.

Lincoln St. near Columbus’ Short North Arts District and Italian Village neighborhoods, Metsi’s is owned and designed by chef BJ Lieberman, 41, a James Beard Award semifinalist and owner of Chapman’s Eat Market and Ginger Rabbit Jazz Lounge. The restaurant functions as both a neighborhood bar and eatery, focusing on an Italian-centric menu that incorporates the use of smoke and fire, according to a news release.
