A systematic review protocol was informed by the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews [24] and prospectively registered with PROSPERO (Registration number: CRD42023409795) [25]. Reporting follows the PRISMA 2020 guidelines [26]. The PICO framework shaped our inclusion criteria. We included summer programs targeting school-aged children (5–18 years) that aimed to influence health behaviours and related outcomes, such as physical activity, diet, and weight.

AbstractExercise interventions are highly effective at preventing falls in older people living in the community. In residential aged care facilities (RACFs), however, the evidence for effectiveness is highly variable, warranting exploration of drivers of successful trials. This study aims to identify the conditions of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) that are associated with reducing falls in RACFs and test whether it can explain the variability.

To evaluate the association between irregular sleep duration and incident diabetes in a U.K. population over 7 years of follow-up. Among 84,421 UK Biobank participants (mean age: 62 years) who were free of diabetes at the time of providing accelerometer data in 2013–2015 and prospectively followed until May 2022, sleep duration variability was quantified by the within-person SD of 7-night accelerometer-measured sleep duration.

Acquired dermal macular hypergpigmentation (ADMH) encompasses conditions including lichen planus pigmentosus, erythema dyschromicum perstans, ashy dermatosis, Riehl’s melanosis and pigmented contact dermatitis. This group of cosmetically distressing pigmentary disorders pose a therapeutic challenge, yet there have been no systematic reviews published that describe their quality of life (QOL) impact.

Highlights The separation of macro-level and microbial food webs is typical but has important limits. A multilayered food web conceptual model is needed because microbial food webs are nested within macro-organisms. These multilayered microbial food webs likely influence the network dynamics of macro-level food webs. A multilayered food webs model opens new avenues for empirical investigations into the complexity of ecological networks.

Consecutive SSc patients from the Australian Scleroderma Cohort Study (ASCS) were included in this analysis (Table 1). The ASCS, established in 2007, is a prospective multi-centre cohort study of risk and prognostic factors for SSc. The ASCS consists of SSc patients who fulfill the 2013 ACR/EULAR criteria for SSc [22] and attend yearly screening for ILD and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) with pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and transthoracic echocardiography (TTE).
