The Snowy 2.0 scheme’s promoter says construction is progressing “across multiple work fronts” despite work stoppages instigated by the Australian Workers’ Union over safety issues. Described as Australia’s largest renewable energy project, the Snowy 2.0 pumped hydro project in New South Wales entails involves an underground hydroelectric power station at 800m depth between two reservoirs - the higher Tantangara Reservoir and the lower Talbingo Reservoir.
