It’s never too early to start thinking about summer concert season, or fall, for that matter. Tickets are going on sale this weekend for a bunch of performances by acts that we here in South Florida have long felt affection for, especially those with a high sing-along quotient: Tim McGraw, Rob Thomas, Steve Miller Band, to name a few. Of course, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias and Jo Koy are just funny.

The Who have announced their farewell tour, setting a final South Florida performance of some of the most iconic and influential music in rock ’n’ roll history at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise on Aug. 16. Tickets will be available with a series of presales that begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, in advance of the general on-sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, at SeatGeek.com.

Now, in our house, a typical Sunday has been reserved weeks in advance with “projects,” and a tradition like Mother’s Day can be a moving target: The mom in my house is good as long as the weekend includes some kind of outing, something to get us out of our Netflix zone.
