The Golden Knights and Marc-Andre Fleury participated in 11 handshake lines together during the goaltender’s four years with the organization. They’re about to do so on opposite sides for the first time. The Knights will take on Fleury and the Minnesota Wild in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. The best-of-seven series will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday at T-Mobile Arena. The games could be the final ones of the future Hall of Fame goaltender’s career.

The annual Battle for Vegas charity softball game is returning to Las Vegas Ballpark this summer, with a new captain for the Raiders. Tight end Brock Bowers will lead his teammates against the Golden Knights when the sixth edition of the annual event takes place at 8 p.m. July 12. The Knights will be captained for the second straight year by center Jack Eichel, who took over after right wing Reilly Smith was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in June 2023.

Catcher Daniel Susac hit a walk-off solo home run, and the Aviators defeated the Sugar Land Space Cowboys 6-5 at Las Vegas Ballpark on Tuesday during Jackie Robinson day. Shortstop Darell Hernaiz hit a game-tying homer in the bottom of the eighth inning to set up Susac’s heroics. Third baseman CJ Alexander also homered and had a double for the Aviators (11-5). An announced sellout crowd of 8,207 attended the Tuesday matinee, marking the 96th sellout in Las Vegas Ballpark history.

The Athletics lost 7-5 to the Diamondbacks on Sunday at Las Vegas Ballpark to conclude Big League Weekend. Catcher Jhonny Pereda was 2-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored, while second baseman Zack Gelof was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. The Athletics led 4-0 after three innings before Arizona rallied back. An announced crowd of 8,130 attended the game, meaning the total attendance of the two-day event was 16,838.
