And the Scots’ group that travelled down south to St Helens for the match included a quartet of district teenagers. The under-16s is mixed a group for the Pathway Internationals and Four Nations. Local rugby union sides Falkirk RFC and Grangemouth RFC were represented with two players each.

    Three district charities have benefitted from Falkirk’s unclaimed Behind the Wall 50/50 half-time draw winnings. The Bairns handed over cheques to various organisations earlier this month, totalling £2,830. The unclaimed winnings were donated to Strathcarron Hospice, Maggie’s Forth Valley, and the Falkirk Football Heritage Trust.
