It's not just big name players who are moving to the Pro League. The Saudi Pro League continues to snowball after spending over €800 million in the transfer window. So far this year, we've seen Karim Benzema, Neymar, Sadio Mane and N'Golo Kante, amongst others, make the move to the Middle East. However, it's not just the players who have opted to swap continents. Several managers, household names in Europe, have also made their way to the region.

But, on the inside, how a club is managed from a business perspective is the recipe for success, and it starts at the very top with a club's owner. It can quickly go wrong if they don't invest cash in the right areas to protect their assets.

After four weeks of football concluding with a showpiece final in Sydney, Spain were crowned world champions for the first time. The Matildas made Australia proud by reaching the semi-finals, the best finish in any World Cup for the country.

The 2023 summer transfer window closed last week after clubs from the world’s biggest leagues were locked in an 80-day race to secure new signings. A report from Transfermarkt claimed this summer was the biggest ever, with total transfer investments surpassing €7.5bn. FIFA rules dictate that clubs must now wait until January 2024 before officially registering any new players.
