Beginning later in 2025, US riders will be able to rate its bikes for themselves as Benda has announced it’s entering the North American market. This isn’t a complete surprise.

We scooped CFMoto’s plan for a three-cylinder sportbike as early as March 2023 and the project was officially confirmed when a prototype was briefly run in front of fans at the Zhuzhou International Circuit in China in September last year. But the latest version is the closest thing yet to the production model that will be officially launched later this year.

This is the first official glimpse of the forthcoming Husqvarna Svartpilen 801. It’s a machine that takes the bones of KTM’s 790 Duke and wraps them in distinctive neo-retro styling to align with the smaller Svartpilen and Vitpilen models in the range. It’s the first time the Svartpilen name has been applied to a twin-cylinder machine, a decade after the first model in the company’s KTM-owned era to bear the title was unveiled at EICMA in 2014.
