Overview:Nice (Lin Ling) aims to defeat the Ever-Standing Hero to rank in the top ten. Our Take:By the rules of this universe, heroes get their powers from the number of people who believe in them and how the public perceives them. So what does that mean if you’re the Ever-Standing Hero, Firm Man? I know the name is kind of lame, but not as lame as how he has to live his life. Since the public perceives him as always standing tall, he can barely bend his knees.

Overview:Sebastian and Ciel begin investigating a series of suspicious deaths in Germany at the Queen’s request. Our Take:I vaguely remember there being a post-credits scene at the end of the last season involving werewolves. Turns out that there might not be only werewolves but witches and curses too. Ciel isn’t having any of that though and can’t believe that people think something like that could actually happen. I found this funny because he does know that he has a demon as a butler right?

Overview:Belle suffers from wounds both mental and physical. To heal her, Bennett must pay a terrible price. Our Take:When I reviewed the first season of this show, one of the big knocks I had on it was that I had no clue what was going on. That’s still true one episode in, but I have to admit not much happened to advance anything in this episode. Belle was suffering from her wounds from the end of the first season, and she asked Bennett for help.

Overview:Xiaolan’s term of service is almost up, so she must find a new job. Maomao and Shisui decide to help. Our Take:Well… I suppose being a masseuse to concubines would be a better job than nothing. Shisui had the hookup when it comes to that job, so she decided to help Xiaolan. Maomao helped in her way by showing a way to remove body hair without having to use a razor. She used this to help out others as well.

Overview:Zenos, an unlicensed healer working in the shadows, works to fix what’s ailing his patients. Our Take:The first episode was a bit jarring for me. Mainly because it felt like we got dropped midway through or something. Many characters show up at Zeno’s house and seem to have a past with him, but we haven’t seen any of that. I’m sure we’ll probably get some flashbacks or something explaining everyone’s relation to Zeno. I have a lot of questions so far.
