Greyfriars Avenue in Hereford experienced severe floods in February 2020 when the nearby River Wye burst its banks, flooding almost all homes.

As NHS hospitals struggle to cope with the rising demand this winter, healthcare professionals have urged people to get vaccinated. Pop-up clinics have been set up in the Black Country in an attempt to encourage eligible people to come forward for their winter flu and Covid-19 vaccinations. Speaking at a clinic in Wolverhampton, pharmacist Monisha Ahmed said the number of people coming to be vaccinated was "slowly becoming smaller and smaller".

A zoo has been giving its animals warm meals and drinks to help them through the cold weather. Jodie Bryant, head of primates at Dudley Zoo and Castle, said: "The main thing is we're providing them with warm areas to go back to."But she has also been feeding the likes of the orangutans a steamed vegetable broth along with low-sugar squash and warm water. "Everybody loves a warm drink," she said.

It was all glitz and glamour at the Birmingham Alexandra Theatre for the opening night of a new musical based on the songs of Steps, the band. Here and Now premiered in Birmingham on Tuesday, but the group have now announced the production will visit other UK cities in summer 2025. The band had been working on the musical for seven years and after watching their show with the audience they said it was a rewarding moment.
