I often get panicky and stressed at the thought of the never-ending nature of simple tasks. Laundry and dishes will always pile up; food and other stocks will always need to be resupplied; bills, insurance, taxes, and other paperwork will always need to be redone; I will always need to work to get money; etc.

The UC Irvine women’s water polo team (17-6, 7-0) defeated Long Beach State (17-7, 5-2), 11-9, at the Anteater Aquatic Center on Saturday, April 22. With this win, the Anteaters secured the top spot in the Big West and finished their perfect season in conference play. Irvine’s strategy mirrored their play over their current nine-game winning streak, controlling the tempo of the game and never letting the opponent build momentum.

The UC Irvine Men’s Rowing team raced the Orange Coast College Pirates at the Collins Cup in Newport Beach on Saturday, April 15. The tough slate of races allowed the Anteaters to show off their improvement and measure themselves against another crew in the run up to regionals. The novice crew’s first race of the day was the coxed four, a smaller boat where technique and cohesion matter more than the more popularly raced eight.
