Introducing the Winnipeg Monarchs. In 2020, the Winnipeg Freeze were introduced as the newest team in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League and over the past four seasons have been one of two teams based in the city, along with the Winnipeg Blues. Starting in 2025-26, the team will now be known as the Winnipeg Monarchs, which has a deep connection to the city.

The Yorkton Minor Hockey Advisory panel have announced a new leadership team to guide the Yorkton Kinsmen Maulers U18 AAA hockey program. The panel, led by Derek Serdachny, Dean Serdachny, Dustin Nehring, Dean Sliva, Grant Ottenbreit, and Karsten Wagner have announced Jeremy Palanuik as General Manager and Associate Coach, Josh Garbutt as Assistant GM and Assistant Coach and Jason Gordon will return for another year as Head Coach.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed American receiver Jayden Horace. Horace spent the last two seasons playing with Fort Hays State University, where he emerged as one of the top receivers in the program. In his senior season, he played in eleven games, catching 56 passes for 704 yards and eight touchdowns. The six-foot-one, 180-pound receiver earned the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association honourable-mention recognition in 2023.
