Bernard Clarke, David Bennett, Nick Brooks, Richard Levy, Simon RayColin Lionel Bray obtained a degree in physiology at the London Hospital Medical School before qualifying in medicine in 1960. Married to Marion while still a houseman at the London he harboured early ambitions to become a paediatric physiologist but these were derailed by his rapid passage through the MCRP exams and a return to his teaching hospital for a short term cardiology post that lasted five years.
