The poem “Remember” was one of my earliest poems, written because we needed to remember what matters, where we come from, and how we are all connected. Its seeds were planted over a particular period of time — namely, the spring and summer of 2020 — when everything around me seemed newly foreign and not to be taken for granted. I took particular solace in nature, collecting observations and imagery whenever I could be out in it.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WTVY) -- It was a great day to be an Enterprise Wildcat on Wednesday. The Enterprise girls basketball team started the afternoon with a 47-37 win over the Davidson Warriors to advance to the Elite 8. The boys followed that up with an impressive win of their own. Rhett Harrelson’s squad took down number seven Mary G. Montgomery by a final of 60-49. Both teams will be back in action on Tuesday. The girls will take on Prattville in a rematch of last years Elite 8 at 12:30.

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - If the definition of Bright Athletes was in a dictionary, you’d likely see a picture of Rylan and Roman Banner next to it. The twin brothers have 4.5 GPAs while playing both baseball and football at Providence Christian, as well as volunteering at The Harbor in Dothan and serving as Headland ambassadors. Rylan serves on the student leadership council and FCA, while Roman is in the Future Medical Professionals Club and Spanish Club.
