On Saturday, Project [BLANK] will present a single performance of "Park Opera," which redefines what opera can be. This large-scale, interdisciplinary arts installation uses the concept of opera as a jumping-off point to create a free public event that places art in unexpected places throughout Balboa Park. To appreciate what "Park Opera" is all about it helps to understand the mission of Project [BLANK], beginning with its clever and playful name.

Withnail and I is a sharp, witty, semi-autobiographical piece inspired by writer-director Bruce Robinson's days as a drama student and actor in London in the 1960s. He looks back at the 60s with fondness but also with a clear-eyed sense of the sobering 70s that lay ahead. We meet Withnail (Richard E. Grant) and Marwood, the βIβ (Paul McGann) in their squalid London flat where they're afraid to even begin doing dishes because they suspect there is something living in the pile of decay.

Episode 241: Unpacking the Virtues of Ryan Cooglerβs βSinnersβ(Please note this transcript is autogenerated)JADE HINDMON This is KPBS Midday Edition. I'm Jade Hindmon. Ryan Coogler. Sinners has been dominating the box office the last two weeks. And one of the reasons is that people are not just wanting to see the movie, but also wanting to see it repeatedly. And that's because the film is not just an action packed vampire tale, but it is also a deeply personal film for Coogler.

April 30 is Walpurgisnacht, also known as Witches' Night. So no better time to speak with Joe Bob Briggs, the host of Shudderβs "The Last Drive-In," about his crusade to get Walpurgisnacht declared β and more importantly β celebrated as a national holiday so we can drink all those Witchesβ night brews. Weβll also discuss how he ended up as the guru of grindhouse on three networks, and why he champions these drive-in movies. After listening you can decide if you too want to join his mutant family.

I have to confess I was getting superhero fatigue. And while I like Anthony Mackie as Cap, Captain America: Brave New World was mostly a slog of CGI with only a few moments of actual human interaction. Plus a rampaging president that we were also supposed to feel some empathy for was a little hard to deal with right now. At least he wasn't also orange. So what I appreciated with Thunderbolts* is that humans win over CGI here.
