Dr. Eddie Shields with Arkansas Allergy & Asthma Clinic says, "Right now is the peak of allergy season. We have the trees and the grasses pollinating."Making matters worse, allergy season arrived early this year. That means you'll likely have to battle your symptoms longer. RUSSELLVILLE (KATV) — In Pam Pilgram-Smith's kindergarten class at Crawford Elementary, daily lessons go beyond the basics. That's because she has a special student this year...a very smart and outgoing 6-year-old named Towns Fuentez. Towns was born with microphthalmia and microcornea, which just means his eyes didn't develop all the way. He is legally blind but still goes full force with everything...including recess. LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Dr. Beth Wyatt, a former professor at Henderson State University, is used to doing the teaching, but over the past year and a half, she's been the one doing the learning—learning how to stand again, how to walk again, how to live a normal life again. "Standing up in my kitchen, cook. It's going to allow me to walk around my house and carry things. And just allow me to stand up, which I've done, and hug my husband eye to eye," Wyatt said.
