HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KATV) — The Hot Springs' Majestic Park baseball complex will soon be home to a commemorative baseball mural just before the anticipated 2025 Babe Ruth League World Series. According to a release, the mural will depict baseball legends Babe Ruth, Henry "Hank" Aaron, international star Shohei Ohtani, and a young baseball player. The installation project will begin June 9.

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin has rejected Protect AR Rights Coalition's "Arkansas Ballot Measure Rights Amendment", an amendment that would support citizen-led ballot initiatives in Arkansas. The decision comes after the last legislative session that passed a slew of laws making it harder to get a ballot measure approved. In a statement, Griffin shared reasoning as to why the ballot was rejected:The ballot title must summarize the proposed amendment.

TEXARKANA, Ark. (KATV) — On May 31, the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department (TAPD) and the Texarkana Texas Police Department (TTPD) worked together to arrest a man involved in a shooting that left a mother and daughter wounded. On March 14, a house was riddled with more than 60 bullets, wounding the mother and daughter while they slept in their home. The daughter was classified to be in critical condition but has made substantial progress in her recovery and is now back home.

Texarkana, Ark. (KATV) — The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department arrested a man at a hookah lounge on Saturday for his involvement in a shooting that left a mother and daughter critically injured. On March 15, 2025, police say the suspect, 20-year-old Omarion Owens, shot more than 60 bullets into a house where the victims were sleeping. The daughter was severely injured and is expected to undergo extensive recovery.

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Off-ramps along Interstate 40 will be closed around the clock to undergo testing of wrong-way detection systems. According to a release, only emergency responders will be permitted to utilize the ramps at all times. Other drivers must use alternate exits. The off-ramps will be closed individually in 1- to 2-hour intervals from Friday, June 6, until Sunday, June 8.

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — An investigation was launched by the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office following a CyberTip sent from Google, Inc. regarding an upload into a subscriber's Google Drive account. Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) was discovered in the upload, prompting a response from PCSO. Detectives of PCSO Cybercrimes identified Joshua Oldridge of Sherwood as a suspect.
