By RENNIE DYBALLJust a few miles from my childhood home, up a windy road through the woods, a large riding facility perched atop a grassy hill. The main barn had big, open windows and most horses stuck their heads out: sunbathing, napping, gazing, greeting curious passersby like me, 5 years old, and my horse-loving dad. We walked right up to the animals. Big horses, little ponies, stars on foreheads, snips on muzzles…I was enchanted.
