TO THE EDITOR: The Right for All Children to Receive a Public EducationAll children in the United States have a right to a free, public education regardless of their race, creed, national origin, citizenship, national origin or immigration status and regardless of the status of their parent/guardian. The 14th Amendment provides this right. Additionally, all school districts in Michigan have the right to refuse entry to immigration officers without a valid warrant or subpoena.

TO THE EDITOR:Fight back against MAGA agendaTrump won the election, but, he does not have a “mandate” as he is loudly and wrongly proclaiming. The man finished with less than 50% of the popular vote. Again another lie from him. But what is a truth is that a second Trump presidency will set America back in terms of progress on civil rights, economic equality, environmental protection and education as it implements Project 2025.

I'm not the world's largest fan of "free" hotel breakfasts. A free breakfast is, of course, better than no breakfast and sounds good in theory. But hopes are dashed with every lift of a chafing dish lid. Rubbery, bland eggs, leaden pastries that couldn't show their faces in Paris, and coffee that simpers rather than shines turn the idea of a hot, delicious morning meal into wishful thinking.

It says such holistic caring involves aiding individuals, families, communities and populations to improve their health in interconnected biological, behavioral, social and environmental areas.

Possibly one of my least favorite things in the world is when they won’t let you in to an exercise class if you’re running a few minutes late. I’m sorry, ma’am, didn’t you guys just close unexpectedly and cancel on me for a week because of, uh, snow? Life happens.
