Cardinals President Bill DeWitt III is talking about a massive update of Busch Stadium and considering asking taxpayers to pay. ("Busch Stadium needs renovations. Should St. Louis taxpayers kick in?," May 6.)He said that we will benefit, but he doesn't mention profit sharing. Usually investors get a guaranteed payback. This sounds like a terrible business deal for over-burdened taxpayers who have not recovered from recent inflation which increased prices for everything.
