Despite winning the Kentucky Derby, Sovereignty will not race in the Preakness Stakes, which means there will be no chance at a Triple Crown winner. Sovereignty's trainer, Bill Mott told an executive, Mike Rogers, from 1/ST Racing, which operates the Preakness of the decision. The third and seventh-place finishers in the Kentucky Derby, Baeza and Sandman, won't race in the Preakness as well. Racing fans are still awaiting a decision from the team of Kentucky Derby runner-up Journalism.

Racing out of the 18th post position with odds of 9-1, Sovereignty is the winner of the 151st Kentucky Derby. Jockey Manny Franco got his first win at Churchill Downs and trainer Bill Mott earned his second career victory at the "Run for the Roses." Sovereignty has had plenty of success running at the famous racetrack. Sovereignty won the Street Sense Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs in October, earning a career-best Equibase Speed figure of 99.

The Seattle Seahawks are ranked No. 23 on our list of NFL offenses. Last season, the Seahawks finished with a 10-7 record and their offense ranked in the middle of the pack for some key offensive statistics. Seattle averaged 22.1 points per game (18th) while producing 5,656 yards (14th), and 39 total touchdowns (26 passing, 11 rushing). That type of mediocrity led to some major changes in the off-season.
