The Namibian government will require US citizens to obtain a visa before entry starting April 1, 2025, citing the need to streamline immigration procedures and enhance border security. The US Embassy in Windoek on March 25 asked American tourists to apply in advance through Namibia’s online visa-on-arrival portal at eservices. "Applicants using this system must carry a hard copy of their approval notice when traveling," the embassy said.
